TIMESINDONESIA – Karang Kamulyan sites was known to be one site where the local legend Ciung Wanara was believed to spend some time at this place when he happened to pass by. This site was known to be the remaining site of Galuh Kingdom in 7th Century.
Located at Cijeunjing, Ciamis, West Java, the site was situated on a 25 hectares area. On this are, there were lots of historical site with several different functions. One site was used to a place for rooster fight, some for meeting hall, and some for place to rest.
Each sites has their own exotic form of stones. Some are a was used for cemetery. Some tombs that belongs to Adipati Panaekan or Duke of Panarkan, Pamangkonan and Patimuan Leuwi Sipatahunan were laid into his area.
